The worst customer service ever. I own my own company and rent from them often. I did a personal rental and was over charged after I turned in the car and was NEVER told if more than one driver was on the contract there were going to be additional charges. I never signed anything nor did I agree to anything, If I had known they were going to charge for additional drivers I would have only put my husband on the rental agreement. This has been the worst car rental experience I've ever had. Reserved a full-sized sedan, got a compact, with a smashed radio! Needed roadside assistance, got hung up on twice by the system after being on hold for 20 minutes each time, and when I told the customer service person on the third call and asked them not to put me on hold again, THEY PUT ME ON HOLD MID SENTENCE!!! In what universe is that acceptable customer service behavior!!! If this is their standard of service, it's no wonder they had to file for bankruptcy.

Worst customer service. I went in to renew my rental. I was told the car needed maintenance and couldn't renew. Since there were no other cars to rent I had no choice other than to leave the car. This was in CHICAGO the day before CHRISTMAS and I was left in the cold outside of HERTZ in 12 degree weather! What kind of animals do that to a person? I will NEVER EVER rent through HERTZ EVER again. I rented their car for about a year and they couldn't give me not even one extra day. Highly not recommended rental service. Beware!

Horrible! My wife rented a car from Hertz. She needed a larger car so she rented a Mini-Van for her trip from Las Vegas to Phoenix. When she arrived, they said that they didn't have anymore vans. This was the day of the trip so difficult to make other arrangements. They said that they had a Suburban. She had no choice, but to take the car. I would give this place -0 if I could get this review in. I scheduled a reservation and paid up front for pick up on December 1st. I called to cancel my rental reservation due to a Stay at Home order in California on day of pick-up. I was assured by the agent that I would not be charged a cancellation fee and would be refunded my money 7-10 business days. PARENTS BEWARE! We had a lovely clean car but the woman at the counter was more than rude when it came to us getting a car seat. The woman accused my husband of trying to scam her out of a car seat-not the case-we were just never told that we had to reserve one, we were only told that yes they offer them when we reserved our car. Hertz is taking advantage of COVID situation. I rented a car for an emergency. The car was not cleaned and definitely not sanitized as the recycled striker that was on the window stated. They billed me 200 bucks for additional cleaning due to pet hair. I did not travel with any type of pet. I called and told them there was no way because I did not travel with a pet and told me to prove it. I intern asked them to show me the pictures of the so called pet hair. I tried to reserve a rental online to the Columbia, Sc airport and the site kept saying internal error so I called customer service and ask them to honor the online price, well they put me on hold for over 30 minutes needless to say i just hung up .
