I have rented from multiple car rental companies in the past and will NEVER use or recommend using Hertz. My vehicle was turned in at the Charleston International Airport location and not properly checked in by their employee. I have been billed multiple times, and accused of not returning my rental vehicle to the proper location (false). Criminal, impossible to get bill adjusted after quoting a rate, the price I was charged was triple the quoted amount.

5 Because someone stole the mirror cover off of the mirror and they charged me LESS than what it would cost me to fix it. I didn't buy that stupid insurance and still they charged me about half what I would have paid at a shop. Seriously, what company has that kind of integrity?! I scheduled a trip to Las Vegas and reserved a car from Hertz. The Hertz location I chose was located in the Paris Hotel, which was across the street from where I was staying. When I went to the Paris Hotel to see where the rentals were located, I was informed that this location was closed months ago. When I called Hertz to inquire about this, they were unaware that this location was closed. After being on hold for about 30 minutes, they come back on the phone to tell me the location was closed. Do not rent from Hertz. They do not honor prepaid rentals. We prepaid, but when we showed up, they did not honor the reservation. Now that I want a refund, they want to deduct $100 from my paid amount. Never ever trust them.

Do NOT rent from Hertz. They are a fraud. I had a pre-paid rental and they would not rent me a car and left me totally stranded because I arrived 24 hours late due to a weather delay. They were rude and ignorant.

Do not rent with Hertz and if you do, DO NOT PREPAY your lease. Apparently, if you return the car early, they won't refund the unused portion of your rental. They have it written in fine print at the bottom of the page so nobody can see it. Also, if you return the vehicle early, nobody will mention it to you. I'm so not used to these scams, I wish I knew, be aware!

NEVER RENTING FROM HERTZ...... I booked a rental from Hertz online to Jackson, MS 18 Feb - 21 Feb. I booked this reservation early in the month of February. There was a terrible snow storm that hit Mississippi on 17 Feb. On 18 Feb, my flight was cancelled because of the weather in Jackson Ms. and also that the airport was closed. I rented a minivan from Hertz in Overland Park, KS, in February 2021. After having the reservation for two months, I arrived at the facility to be told that they had no vehicle to give me as it had been returned damaged. I understand that can happen, but I got absolutely no notice. They said I should call around other rental companies, but it was 5:00 and I needed the van by the next morning.
