This company is a scam! I have been charged daily for "not returning my vehicle" even though it was returned on Friday of last week. I literally cannot get in contact with any type of manager to resolve the issue! They literally said my contract would not be closed until the car was rented by someone else! I am shocked. I thought this was a professional rental company but it is definitely not. Please do not rent from here.
Hertz charged me $430 for a smoking fee, I DO NOT smoke. The car did not smell like smoke. The "proof" they sent were two photos, showing a few grains of sand on the carpet. I am being scammed, and they refuse to deal with me and consider the matter "closed". Please do not rent from them.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY Very rude probably should be working far away from the customer service Zero stars goes to that's completely rude terrible ignorant business. Jenna and manager Michelle are absolutely rude nasty human beings who don't deserve to even be in the customer service business whatsoever. They are nasty about car rentals they giveaway your rental minutes for you to pick it up has absolutely no communication skills.

Rented a full size. Didn't have one available. Offered me a smaller car at a lower price. I agreed. Demanded a credit check even though I have a credit card on file and was pre-paying. Ended up putting me in a corolla with check engine lights on. Charged my DEBIT CARD for almost $500.00. LIED, and charged me for a full size. Now they want me to drive 45 minutes north to the airport in a car with maintenance lights on if I want to trade the car, but they're going to keep my money they overcharged me. Never Rent from Hertz...no matter what!! They do not honor the quotes they give you & they promise you reduced rates on prepaying but don't honor them. Never ever trust them. They are a scam rental company & I spent over an hour on the phone with them several times & their customer service is horrendous. They do NOT care about the customer. I regret that I did not read reviews before I rented from Hertz. I have rented many times from other rental companies before and this one is the far worst one. My flight landed early, but the old lady at IAH Hertz counter was very slow. A young lady in front of me could not wait any longer and left, but I had to stay before I had prepaid. Never do business with Hertz . My daughter had to use them while her car was in the body shop. She has never smoked cigarettes. She doesn't allow people to smoke around her. But they charged her $400, claiming she smoked in the car. She returned it to the body shop and it was there overnight before Hertz picked it up. My daughter hates cigarette smoke. She is also autistic and cigarette smoke triggers her. ***********
Worst rental company I've even dealt with. Charged me double the price for an extra 15 minutes because I couldn't find the return location as written and had to look around for 30 minutes. I had an emergency and they didn't provide any help while I purchased this service of roadside assistance. They didn't even pay me back what I paid for towing the car after they promised they will do later after I get my emergency solved with the help of 911.
