This is the worst company i have ever came in contact with they do not care about there customers at all we have been stranded without a vehicle for over 24 hours and not one person in any branch or any number they provide would work with us to get this problem resolved
this review is regarding my Hertz Rental car in hartford in october 2020. upon picking up the car, the agent asked if i would like to purchases the '______fuel plan' i can't remember what she called it, but i do know for sure that she DID NOT ask me if i would like to 'pre-purchase a tank of gas'. that is what i did, and if she had worded it that way i would have driven it a LOT more and of course not filled up the tank when i returned the car, as i did. the agent told me it was just 'coverage in case you don't have time to ... read more
I have had the worst experience that seems to be a never ending nightmare. This past Saturday, Hertz has taken $4700 from my account somehow with a card that had been cancelled for months. I can't even use my card to get gas if I don't have sufficient funds, but they managed to find a way to force a transaction through using a cancelled card when all I had was $100 in my account. Every time I rent, or try to rent, am required to rent from Hertz I have a bad time.
Yesterday, we reserved a car in Florence, AL, for an overnight business trip. Today, when we got to the Hertz in Florence, we were told they didn't accept the only credit card we had. The card was issued by our bank. The employee said that the local Hertz was having a legal dispute with the bank and was not accepting cards from that bank. We had reserved the car online and there was nothing online about not accepting our card. We even used that same card to reserve the car. I rented online for 2 day rental, which was about $87 charge on my credit card at the Time of rental. I called the day of the rental to ask about charges and see if I would be able to extend my rental an additional 3 days. When I called I was told the total charge (with out deposit) would be $202 to extend the rental 3 days. I was told an additional $200 would be held on my card when I picked up the car.
