The Hertz at 229 SouthEast 2nd Street in Miami displays multiple discriminatory practices against people the manager feels are "too young" to rent and he will find any way to refuse a rental; even incorrectly sighting their own policies and procedures.

The estimated bill when I picked up the car was $229.61. I dropped off the vehicle while the office was closed (on a Sunday) - with a full tank, and within the rental agreement period. My CC subsequently was charged $283.54. I emailed the assistant manager (Lawrence B) that arranged the rental TWICE - with no response (now at 5 days after my first email). They have not sent me a detailed bill to explain why the charge was $54 higher. Lousy customer service.

will never rent from a hertz location again. I am a triple a member and would do my reservations through them for car rentals with hertz. once my contacts were closed hertz did not charge me the rates triple a guaranteed me. I reached out too the manager at 33 Bridge St, Salem, MA XXXXX she stated since the contract was already closed their was nothing she can do on her end not even give me new print outs of my previous contracts, so she told me too reach out to corporate. which made no sense too me so I decided to call the ... read more

I am amazed at my experience with Hertz! They are just horrible! I got permission to drop the rental car off at a different location than I picked it up from. I decided on this location because they were supposed to be open according to their posted hours. They were not open so we left the keys in the after hours drop off box as instructed. Strait up con artists. I was charged bogus fees by this company and when trying to get resolution to the issue they bounce you around to the next person with the next script. Overcharged $400 on a rental that was given to me dirty and said it was due to detailing needing to be done due to smoking in the car. I am a non smoker. The last agent I spoke with said even if you stopped at a gas station and someone was smoking NEAR the car it's still my issue. 11/29/2020 i just rented a car from hertz. it was a completely fraud. they charged me $ 100 for hald of tank and also when i tried to speak with David manager he advised me that he was unable to do anything about it. it was horrible and they charge for things that are nor correct. on top of that i found a marijuana pipe in the car and my 3 year old was playing with it. the car was super dirty and still they rented it out like that to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i went in person and customer service was horrible. If I could, I would give hertz ZERO stars! They are the absolute WORST company to rent from. The only reason I did was because Enterprise did not have anymore vehicles available for Thanksgiving travel. I saw the reviews but still decided to give it a go. Bad decision. I booked the rental through Priceline for Wed Nov 25 at 9a to Fri Nov 27 at 12p. When I went to pick up the car, I let the girl at the desk know I wanted to EXTEND my rental until Fri, Nov 27 at 3p. AVOID AT ALL COST OR IT WILL END UP COSTING YOU.... LITERALLY.. I rented a vehicle because my car was totaled. I went to the rental place at the Naples Airport, got my vehicle by myself, no one went with me to see if it was ok. The car was filthy, so i took pictures, it also had some minor dents and keyed all across the back so i took pictures, the windshield has a hole from a rock hitting it so i took pictures of that also.
