I booked a rental car last month for pick up in my hometown this July. This week I received an email stating they updated my reservation and changed it to a pick up location over 2 hours away! I called them as I didn't want or consent to this change. The very rude employee told me he had my reservation listed as another town that was over 2.5 hours away and no where near where I had planned on driving. I requested they change it back, he stated he couldn't locate my hometown even though it's still posted on their website. Wh... read more

Please Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. If its not bad enough that there where issues or cars being dirty and I mean filthy covered in pet hair as well as cars not being available even though I had paid and booked a reservation. I had Hertz rewards and had earned over 5000 Points. Enough to rent a car for like a week and a half for free. I haven't traveled really during Covid and was saving my points. I would give negative stars if possible! We picked up a car on Saturday from the Kissimmee, Florida (vine st) location and have had a horrible experience. Not only were there 5 people in there to rent cars but their were 2 people working in this location and one guy just sat there and did nothing while the other guy had to help everyone including answering the phone. After trying to rent a car from hertz find out I had $150 toll due from years ago and I made the payment in full right there because they put me on a DNR list. Month later still trying to rent from different companies it's impossible because my name still in the list I was traveling to California I had to walk blocks to find another location like enterprise sixt, I was on hold 3x for over an ht then got disconnected Just to remove my name

Rented a car online and paid in full about a month prior to the rental. Showed up to the airport and went to the counter. The woman at the counter was elderly, therefore I gave her some slack, but continuously mumbled everything that she said. I could honestly only hear about 1 of 5 words she said to me. Zero stars if I could. A bankrupt Hertz is just desserts. I made the reservation *********** on April 18, 2021 for a rate of $215 for 2 days. When I opened the Hertz iPhone app on Sunday to prepare for the rental, an offer popped up to upgrade the car to a full size sedan for a "total of $5.60" more. That sounded like a good offer so I clicked yes on the app. Then I was charged another $198!!! That is insane! So I called customer support. The first agent put me on hold for 30 minutes. Never do business with them. I n February I reserved a car for 10 days on Maui in May. A week ago, after hearing about rental car shortages, I decided to confirm my confirmed reservation. When I called they said " We have your confirmed reservation, but there is no car". When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told no manager was on site.
