If i could give this company a zero i would. Totally horrible company. I rented a car and what happen is i called the call center explained if i rent the car from toronto ontario and i go to quebec , and for any reason should i not be allowed entry back into ontario because of the lock down can i return it to a local hertz airport location? I will NEVER rent from Hertz again. Picked up a car at Orlando. Fl. Airport, had roaches! Wonderful way to begin vacation. They double charged us and my daughter who so rented car was charged double! Could not reached anyone via phone!! Went back and was "upgraded" to a filthy car that had a sticker "gold star cleaned" stickered to the outside of the car. With Covid this is an atrocious! Took 1hour and 30 min to rent a car at the Hickory Hollow Branch on Bell road. No one in the place Customers..Been renting cars for over 30 years and have never run into such a slow Rental and then gave me the only car he had that needed Imediate service acording to the dashboard...Do NOT Recomend this Business to anybody. Hertz is not good there!!!!!
Hertz is a deplorable company. They overcharged me by more that $600 dollars. I returned my car to a Hertz employee, but they charged me for an extra day and for returning the rental to the wrong airport. Their customer service is a scam. They refuse to provide their employee information or provide you with documentation of communication. At my 3rd attempt to get the issue resolved, they began disconnecting me once I provided by record # or asked for a manager. The way Hertz services customers is a crime.
I just completed a rental with Hertz and the price doubled from $83 / day to $167 / day without my knowledge because I was an hour late picking up the vehicle; plane was 40 min late, they didn't have any vehicles that matched what I rented, vehicle I finally picked and packed had a faulty battery so I had to unload everything and when we found a vehicle (that just came in), the actual rent time didn't start until the car actually exited the rental car facility. Hertz cancelled my active reservation without notification. I had reserved a car at a reasonable price for 4 days. When we arrived at the rental pickup location, the desk clerk notified us that our reservation had been cancelled the night before our arrival by hertz because they had no cars. I was on hold for 3 hours 19 minutes and 54 seconds to simply have my wife sign for the rental car in another city. We had planned to go together and I can not go because of last minute work obligations. The most RIDICULOUS calls ever. The first call at 2 hours and 8 minutes and 28 seconds I got hung up on. I rented a car with Hertz for 3 days and dropped the car off at one of their drop off locations. I returned back to Boston and i was still being charged. I called and they tell me the car hadn't been dropped off. i continue to tell them exactly where I dropped the car off. another week goes by and i am still being charged, 3 weeks still. during these 3 weeks i am being charged almost $11,000!!!!! I rented a car from the Hertz in Las Vegas and confirmed I was dropping it off in Auburn, California. When I arrived in Auburn, I found the Hertz there was closed for business. I was told by customer service at Hertz that was where I was to drop off the car. After a 10 hour drive, I was then forced to drive another hour out of my way to Roseville to drop off the car.
