Dishonest check in contrives to add damage fees - after a Hertz employee, who was present, refused to check in car. Said place was closed - and then after we had left charged 200 quid for 'damage' - including a picture of a dirty car (driven 2000km and specifically told NOT to clean it by same employee) yet showing zero damage. This place is a scam. Avoid at all costs or INSIST on having car checked in BEFORE leaving.

After reading other reviews I was anxious about dropping our hire car at Holyhead ferry terminal. Hertz are right inside the Passenger Terminal and the hertz parking bays a little further into the car Karl - clearly signed. The lady in reception couldn’t have been kinder or more professional, dealing with my phone calls to check. Great car and overall service!

Booked online and picked up our car using our US driving license. Car was equipped with Android Auto. It was a great way to experience Wales.

To drop off a car at the Hollyhead port, drive past the terminal to the long term parking. You will find 4 spots marked Hertz on the right along the fence. There is a key drop inside the passenger terminal. DO NOT USE THE TURKEY POINT ADDRESS! That will lead you to the garage where they clean up the vehicles. There is rarely anyone there and no key drop off. Hope that saves someone from the confusion I found. Thanks!
