I rented a Mercedes E-Class from Aberdeen Airport. The car itself was nice and clean, and it was a petrol hybrid. However, the battery wasn’t charged, so we ended up wasting 1–2 hours of our rental time just charging it. At the end of the day, we returned the car to the airport. Hertz aberdeen were fantastic. There were two ladies working when we hired our car for a month in July. The car that was provided stank of cigarette smoke however on contacting hertz they replaced the car with no fuss. I wish I could remember the two ladies names as they made what could have been a frustrating situation smooth easy and no drama.

When I dropped the car off after the rental period I asked when the £200 deposit would be returned, by “midnight” I was told. 2 days later and a live chat I’m now being told it can be held for up to 30 days! Not to mention all the pushy sales when I went to collect the car, receipt also shows a £13 charge for fuel despite the car being full on fuel on return. Monkeys
