Not sure if corporate Hermes knows their Amsterdam location needs a reboot on professional business etiquette and customer service. We knew exactly what we wanted to purchase. However, as customers at their Rome, Los Angeles, and Basel stores, we have never had to wait 30+ minutes to enter the store. After we finally were able to enter, we quickly identified this location had the exact product we wanted to purchase. The Amsterdam shops' management appears to disregard customer experience entirely. Their system ensures long, unnecessary queues outside the boutiques at all times, which completely ruins the shopping experience from the outset. Furthermore, there is no respect for customer’s time - as once you have made it inside the shop there is another “hidden” cue of 2 hours, which is absurd.
