Today I had my first appointment with Dr. Medina. Although he was running quite late, which he profusely apologized for, he spent a considerable amount of time with me. I never felt rushed and he answered all my questions. So refreshing to talk with Dr. Medina feeling his concern and knowledge for my issues. My husband needs a gastroenterologist and I will definitely recommend Dr. Medina.
Dr. Medina is a very close minded doctor that only believes in American Medicine and won't entertain anything else. To my face he told me that the medicine I was on (that I saw benefit from) couldn't treat my disease. He claims there is no cure for Crohn's Disease, and has absolutely no interest in learning about recent advances in it (including two cures relating to ANTI-MAP therapy/vaccine). He outright told me he wouldn't see me unless I went on an immuno-suppressant or a biologic.
Business response:
In my opinion, this an unfair review. I do not believe this patient's assessment of my care reflects the attention I gave to his case. Not c/w other reviews. A patient with severe crohn's disease and complications due to his refusal of conventional therapies. Unfortunately, despite the standard of care options discussed and offered, he insisted on being treated with marijuana and Naltrexone, which have not been shown to be effective in treating crohn's disease in any scientific or medical study.
Best doctor I have encounter. Very professional. Humanitarian doctor. Really looks out for his patients
Dr Medina is a great and thorough Dr. I have had two colonoscopy's with him. He truly cares about his patients and their health.
I am not a fan of doctors or procedures, but Dr. Medina made me feel less anxious right away. He knows how to communicate with his patients, puts their minds at ease and he gains your trust. His bedside manor is excellent.
DR. MEDINA WAS TOTALLY ATTENTIVE TO MY MOM AT HER APPOINTMENT. HE MADE SURE TO ADJUST TO HER HEIGHT IN A WHEEL CHAIR. HE WAS CALM TO LISTEN AND REPEAT WHAT HER CONCERNS ARE AND ADDRESSED EACH CONCERN ONE AT A TIME.
The doctor is attentive and takes adequate with the patient.
