10:59Dr has done probably 5 colonoscopies on me + endoscopies. Yesterday I learned something new. “Flat polyps” that have higher chance of being missed during procedures, bigger chance of growing into cancer if not removed. I had tears in my eyes when I got home after reading about these knowing how lucky I am to have an experienced Dr who could find and remove these. Not all Gl Dr’s are I discovered. Dr Medina just did my husbands colonoscopy. He was on time, pleasant, knowledgeable. Very good experience and I would highly recommend him to others.
I just had a colonoscopy done by Dr. Medina and he is just wonderful. He talked to me before and after the procedure and I was totally at ease with him and his entire staff, I can't say enough good things about my experience. I give him 5 stars for sure.
Stay away. He doesn't listen to patients. A CT scan showed a diverticulum in the duodenum. I told him that was my primary concern. During an upper GI, he didn't look very far in the duodenum, as shown by the pictures and said duodenum was fine. CT scan said it wasn't.
None of my test results were explained to me. He just did a drawing of the gi system and what happens when you have issues with gallstones. I already watched a video on YouTube and it was exactly the same explanation. What I wanted to know about was my test results specifically. What do my blood test show? Other than my ultrasound showing I have gallstones in my gallbladder I didn’t find anything else out. I didn’t need a lesson on how the gi system works. Horrible experience Territorial doctor who does not let the patient finish the sentences. Did not listen and was extremely judgmental
After years of telling my symptoms to my primary care MDs and consulting doctors, who did not follow up with anything to diagnose, Dr Medina listened to me, carefully read my record and came up with a plan of diagnostic tests and referrals. I am on the road to recovery and am very grateful to him.
