I stay here every October, and since it's a historic hotel it does have it's quirks when it comes to lighting and bathroom size, but the staff is amazing and the food and drinks are great! Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Salem!
I stayed at the Hawthorne in May of 2015 for my first trip to Salem and it was perfection. Not only is the hotel gorgeous and historical, the staff were wonderful, the room was clean and beautiful and the location couldn't be more ideal. I didn't have to drive once--I was able to get everywhere I needed to on foot. I can't wait to make another trek to Salem to stay at the Hawthorne! I wish I could give more than 5 stars :)
I stayed overnight for the Masquerade Ball this weekend and was very impressed. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff extremely helpful and professional. The room was exceptional; clean and bright and had everything needed. Also had lunch in the tavern and that was fantastic. This was my first visit to Salem but I will be back again and definitely staying at the Hawthorne.
Attend the Masquerade Ball on January 30 it was a blast. The Hotel was staffed and friendly never had to look far for a staff member. Dessert table was available all night and never ran out of anything.... Looking forward to attending more events here. Highly recommend them

We attended the Halloween Party this year and it was the BEST party I have ever attended! And I am 50 Years old so I've attended many! Keep up the great work Hawthorne Hotel!
