We had drinks, appetizers then dinner. I ordered a margarita. It was just ok. The appetizers were the tuna tartare with crispy wanton. You got 2 wantons with a bit of tuna for 13.00. Are you kidding me. My husbands dinner, steak frites, was a shit show. Steak very tuff, vegetables hardly cooked, and a bunch of greens on the plate, not dressed, I think the price 28.00. Totally not worth it.
Even though the room was a little expensive and very small, we loved our stay! The rich history and personality of the hotel were undeniable! The staff was very courteous and helpful with all of our questions about the hotel and it's history. It was very clean and the location was incredible! We highly recommend staying at the Hawthorne Hotel!
This place has a great location! Good food and absolutely awesome customer service Jeff Schwartz was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations that never missed!! The only reason I can't give 5 stars - the beds are wayyyyyyy tooo firm!! We where given an extra bed topper to sleep on to make the bed more soft it didn't help but the idea and thought were good. I would recommend this hotel just let ppl know that the beds are firm
This is a beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff!! We really enjoyed our stay!! I highly recommend Hawthorne House to anyone visiting Salem!!

The Jazz Brunch was lovely and the menu (and entree I ordered) was excellent!
