RecommendedWe had lunch there. Not the first time either. The place is very elegant, though in a very comfortable way. There is a fireplace, that is very inviting in cold weather. The waitstaff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was cooked to perfection, and the portions were generous.
I had such high expectations. The room was adorable but so small ! Thr bathroom was a joke; small is an understatement. My husband and I could barely fit in the shower. Plus the shower pressure was almost non-existent. The bed was lumpy and hard; the pillows were too soft. We did enjoy the location of the hotel. Parking was easy. The staff was friendly.
The Hawthorn Hotel is a beautiful, and classy place. We have stayed there many times and have never been disappointed.

Great location, lovely room decor and furniture. Unfortunately we were in room 306 which has a Queen bed but was more like a broom cupboard it was too small for two people especially when one was trying to iron. Felt the room was overpriced.
5 stars for my favorite hotel, and their FABULOUS bartender Jules! He made our stay much more entertaining and pleasant! If I could rate him individually 5 stars I would! Food and drinks are delicious!
We had our wedding at the Hawthorne Hotel in April and we couldn't have better things to say! June Jennings was an amazing coordinator. She was great to work with, answered all questions with an urgency, and helped us choose our decorations and food that made the day perfect! All of our guests said the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding and we couldn't agree more. The entire day went off without a hitch and we couldn't have asked for a better venue!
Very excellent hotel in a very good city.
