When I moved to Hawthorne 4 years ago, they helped through a very difficult transition and become much like family. Unfortunately I had to move recently but have such fond memories of the staff, their responsiveness and attention, even when I had surgery in another state. They helped with my mail, made sure my apartment was safe and when I returned with difficulty going up and down stairs, they helped me with groceries, garbage and anything else I required. It was good when miss Anna was here, she was so nice and understood that hard times are hard times. Now we have some younger manager, her name is Jessica and she's not nice. She's not understanding and she's just rather snobby. Sorry but stuff happens. Then not only that, they expect you to be on time with rent but when it comes to problems in the apartment they take ages to send someone out. What's the point of having maintenance? I have lived in apartments all over the country and these are literally the worst I have ever experienced. Honest and timely communication is non-existent. 'Updated' apartments are low dollar cosmetic upgrades. Imagine slapping a fresh coat of paint on a neglected 30 year old car and you have this place.
