Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner overlooking the Buffalo lighthouse at the Hatch, which has long been a fixture on the Buffalo waterfront. Breakfast includes typical breakfast fare, like eggs, bacon, and sausage. Lunch and dinner fare is simple: burgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, a grilled chicken sandwich, and one of the best fried bologna sandwiches in Buffalo. Make sure you save room for dessert, as they also have a great selection of ice cream. Of course, the real reason you eat here is to enjoy the view of the Buffalo... read more

A little pricey but the food and view are just what the Dr. ordered. + Stood in line on a Friday for under 10 min. and received our order(5 top) in under 10 min.
Love to grab a bite to eat, have some ice cream and enjoy the view on a warm summer evening.
Epic fail! Waited 45 minutes for an overpriced and poor quality lunch! Beef on weck extremely fatty and no veggies in the gazpacho. Upon asking to see manager, received nasty attitude with a promise the manager would come . . . Guess who never materialized!
The view is the only thing that can't be screwed up by all those involved in the running of the Erie Basin Marina, from The Smith Boys hawking their boat sales to Ed Dolski and his crackerjack staff (more like crackpot!) at The Hatch. The food and staff were horrible, the floors were filthy. ZERO STARS ...so desperate for stars this can't be posted without at least one star rating...SMH :(
We have been going to the Hatch since it originally opened and were very disappointed with the new set up. The outdoor seating is dominated by a large bar and the tables all occupied by drinkers. So much for the family atmosphere. The food service was very disorganized, with a long wait. Food is VERY OVERPRICED. Beef on weck (they gave it a fancy name) was fatty rib roast on a soggy pseudo kümmelweck with a cream horseradish sauce the was runny, also very overpriced. The condiments were self serve, open for everyone to sneez... read more
The Hatch is officially overpriced for somewhat ok food! Bring your friends and family elsewhere! The menu is written up as a fancy list on the board, but the end result does not live up to the expectation or the price. I would possibly revisit if the prices were dropped by about a buck fifty to 2 dollars. Until then, I am NOT recommending friends or family to stop by.
This place has become grossly overpriced. I used to go there regularly for a decent burger and fries, no way that should cost as much as it does today. And the "Fresh Cut Fries" were anything but "Fresh Cut." I can get the same view by bringing my own lunch and sitting on the waterfront.
What do I think of the all new Hatch? Not much!! Bring back the old Hatch!!
Near water The place to go during the summer to cool off on a hot day. While there you can purchase a hot dog or ice cream from the Hatch restaurant.Plenty of parking.
Hatch Restaurant has a 3.4 star rating with 405 reviews.
Hatch Restaurant is closed now. It will open at 11:00 a.m.
