Stopped by for lunch. Big mistake. Always made a point if stopping by for their iconic Buffalo staple of baloney and onions. It was presented with huge peppers, onions and topped with provolone cheese. I said, I ordered baloney and onions... All I want is that... The manager said... "We can't serve it that way..." Oh well... Scratch off another regular spot... Another disappointment!
My family of (5) and I were visiting Canal Side and decided to try the the new improved Hatch Resturant . We entered with a very cold reception asked the waiter if we can be seated , he suggested we go to the other side look at the menu first. He gives us a menu we find things we want asked to be seated the hostess says that the lunch menu we can't order from that . Ok we said where's the dinner menu ? She stated well nothing on the lunch menu is on the dinner so you might not like that . We said the waiter gave us this menu... read more
3 out of 3 visits this summer they were either out of soft ice cream or the machine was broke. Prior to this summer the service has always been great. Hope it can get turned around. We love going there.
Lovely setting with great food & music, very nice atmosphere, really enjoyable
1 star is generous. if you could give 0 stars I would. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant. Food quality, prices and wait time are terrible. the 2 times I went, I had to change my order to go after waiting over 30 minutes. I love paying high prices for cold slow food!
The sign on the outside of the building needs to be lite up like the William K's. A larger Open sign too... This would help out in finding the entrance to the Hot Dog Stand... And the Menu takes forever to read on the chalk board.. Narrow it down in some kind of order... OverWhelming.. Paper menus could help... . !! Otherwise a great place to go ..

With beautiful views of buffalos waterfront the hatch is located in a prime location and one of the few restaurants that has food other than seafood you would expect good food at a reasonable price but that is not the case with the hatch the food is mediocre at best just a step above fast food and the fresh cut fries are anything but they are way over priced at $11 for a burger and fry's and $7 for a salad is unreasonable not the place for a person on a budget or a family I mean I wouldn't mind paying a little more for a bur... read more
Beautiful scenery but drinks are expensive and the bartenders are not bartenders. They know nothing about drinks or alcohol. It's a shame, fun knowledgeable bartenders would draw a crowd even with the drink prices
