for two years I was a client of Hartford Health Independent Care and was very pleased and recommended them several times. I recently left the agency, the caregivers were very good; most kind, very compassionate and were treated very well. They all came from a long distance, the overtime was considerable and paid by HH IC, yet within the time not one local aide was hired to help keep down overtime. Not good place to work. Schedulers can get away with not passing on messages or giving you cases and more. You barely talk to any supervisors..your lucky if you get a call back when trying to leave a message or get a hold of someone. They dont do visual home checks for environmental safety for staff, etc.
