Hanover Homes are simply the best estate agents in the whole of Brighton, by far!! This is the second time they have sold a house for me, and it was amazing. Shocking lack of support Moved into a damp flat, displaced for 6 weeks. Told to deal with builders ourselves. Wanted us to move back into an uninhabitable property. No support, no refund, now ignoring us. Avoid.
Terrible experience renting through Hanover Homes. The flat was damp and uninhabitable, communication was poor, and we were left paying rent for a property we couldn’t live in. Would not recommend.
Warning to Former Porter Property Clients I want to share my experience to alert other landlords. I was told that Porter Property was merging with Hanover Homes—but this turned out to be misleading. It was not a merger; the business was sold, and since then, I've faced serious issues. After the transfer, my management fee was increased to 12% without sufficient notice or justification, and rent payments have been significantly delayed. Customer service this good is a rarity these days. Hanover were my rental agent for 11 years until I decided to sell. For rentals they were always reliable and responsive. Living out of area, I knew any issue arising would be dealt with promptly to the best of their ability. In recent years, Rebecca in the rental team has been superb.
