I was admitted to Hadley Wood Hospital today for a planned gynaecological procedure. Despite completing my pre-operative assessment and having a face-to-face consultation where I fully disclosed my medical history (including recent cancer treatment and use of Tamoxifen), the procedure was cancelled at the very last minute — after I had already been prepared for surgery.
