I sent in my taxes to be reviewed by a "tax pro" on 4/8/22. The tax pro contacted me on 4/10, and then disappeared. The deadline to file has passed and I still haven't heard back from them. I called in to complain and get a different tax pro and have been on hold for 4 hours. This company is a joke and their staff is unprofessional and unreliable. I'm switching to Turbo Tax.

I made an appointment a month ago and was helped by an advisor to handle taxes for a trust. I am the fiduciary trustee. I asked specifically for the best consultant but the woman I got was very confused. She has to make several phone calls to get help from H&R escalation accountants. I left the work with her and after 2 weeks she finally called back to let me know she had the issues resolved. H&R Block adds fees as a requirement for filing taxes after one has already prepared their taxes on the free version. It is not until you attempt to file your taxes that you are told additional fees apply for itemization and for state filing. State filing was expressly stated as free in the version I selected when I began, and once I finished preparing my taxes they charged me an additional $45.

H&R block in *********************, ** is the worst because I took our business taxes for the year of 2020 we are behind they had all our papers for 2.5 months I called to find out how much longer after I dropped it off they said the the tax preparer she had not even touched them, it was too complicated and to much paperwork to go through, I am getting my paperwork back today and will have to find someone else that knows taxes

I had made an appointment to have my taxes done on the 14th of April,2022. I uploaded all of my forms, ID, answered all questions about my history etc on website with my CPA in my profile. My appt was for the 15th at 1pm. My CPA was supposed to email me a quote for price by 10am yesterday morning, he emailed me at 9 and told me he was canceling my 1pm appt and that he had all forms he needed and he would have a quote to me in the next few minutes and that he would start my taxes right away and have them finished yesterday. Because of a computer glitch my 2020 taxes were not filled correctly. Now we owe $4K in taxes! I've trusted H&R block to handle my taxes for years; no longer. I also have to pay fees and penalties that will supposedly be paid by H&R AFTER I pay the ****. H&R also filed an adjustment to my taxes without my signature or permission. Horrible, horrible experience. And now we have a $4K ****. HORRIBLE!

My paperwork was incorrect specifically my direct deposit information. My bank info was not listed so I called back and had to leave a message because the agent was busy and I never received a call back. I went back to the office and was told I had to schedule an appointment. I never received my refund due to their error and the agent *********************** was in willing to help. He also messed up my family members taxes as well. I will never use H&R Block again

Two wordsnever again. I paid an outrageous amount to H&R Block to file my taxes. My first concern was when the lady called me to let me know she finished my taxes for me to approve and apologized because it had been a while since shes done this. I called H&R Block corporate office to gain an understanding of why I owed so much to H&R Block. They couldnt explain it or figure out why and suggested I call the lady who did my taxes so I could share my frustrations with her in order to feel better. We used H and R block online for years without any problems, but this year we decided to use the tax pro to review our taxes, the tax pro really screwed up our state tax, instead of getting a small refund we suddenly owed some money, we had such a hard time to get any response from that person, for weeks we tried to get it fixed without any luck, we even get hold of an office manager and thought that would help, but still not fixed, now at some point we will have to send an amended tax form on our own to fix the problem, I t... read more
