Did taxes w H&R in March but they put the wrong account # and still processed it. I didn't get the money so I went to my bank as instructed. They told me they didn't have it that I needed to contact H&R. H&R told me due to the error, it would be coming to me in the mail in 1-3 weeks. After 3wks I didn't receive it. H&R then said to contact IRS. After the hard task of trying to contact IRS they informed me they never received the money back and that they couldn't issue me paper check. We've had a terrible time trying to get our local office to address our needs. We've paid for their extra services for years and now we need them, no one returns phone calls, no addresses our issues. This place is aweful. They need to address the sale of their extra services and if they intend to not provide them then this could be considered FRAUD! I've ****** a number of times to get them to address some issues over the past 2.5 years. And still nothing. PLEASE take your money elsewhere!!!!! We will never use this company ... read more

Paid to have my 2021 taxes done by this company - ended up owing close to $1,100 dollars which we expected but we paid for peace of mind (you know that great thing they say if they make a mistake they'll pay the *** on your behalf?) turns out that's a scam - they made a mistake on my taxes we owed an additional $400+ dollars and they refused to cover it. ?????????? Update: as you can all see, they replied back to my review with a generic response that offered NO HELP. The number they provided was for general customer service. This does NOTHING for me. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE WITH PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! ??????????????Zero help. They did my tax return and it got rejected. h&r block filed my taxes in ************ ** in march under the wrong ss number and took me through paperwork and multiple trips back and forth to the office, they finally mailed my taxes in under the correct info and told me everything would be free of charge, my state taxes was refunded to their meta bank account and they are saying they don't have it and will not deposit my refund or return my calls, i have no idea whats going on with my federal

Experience with H&R Block has been terrible from a Tax filing and subsequent customer ********************. They are unable to file a simple W2 tax return, sold me the idea that Peace of Mind covers all aspects if any IRS issues surface. Also, the incorrect tax filing was the outcome even after we had escalated that assigned tax advisor did not seem knowledgeable, and the center manager had got a review done with a more senior tax expert.Three years later, IRS shot a letter incorrect tax filing and asking for additional tax ... read more

H&R Block made mistakes on my return that caused me to be audited. I proactively recognized it and tried to have them address it. I went through 3 different tax professionals--none of whom could resolve my issue and all of whom went unresponsive for long periods of time despite repeated efforts. I even purchased the "Peace of Mind." While they ultimately refunded my money after a 6 month ordeal they did not resolve the issue nor did they cover the *** expenses i endured to resolve it. H+R block forgot to add documents to my tax return that I had provided and then they had to submit an amended return. I've been waiting 6 weeks for my return now and H+R Block is now closed of no assistance. Each time we have used them it seems like the people working there aren't really sure about what they're talking about. It would be really reassuring to ask a tax expert a tax question and then not have to go look it up or ask for help
