I had an L4/L5 nerve root block with Dr Sinha via King’s Private at a cost of £1600 because he was available quickly and I was desperate for pain relief from sciatic pain caused by a herniated disc. I wish I had not - he did a very poor job and three weeks later I am still bedbound and literally screaming in pain. I am in more pain than I was before I went to him. I noted the option to pay in cash which must be a benefit to certain clientele, personaly I contribute to slush funded debt mountain and wait it out next door with the cattle.
Excellent organisation of appointments at times when patients are available after working hours. Easy to travel to. Great staff attention to detail. Regular communication with patient is positive. Feel looked after and cared for.
I have been following up with my doctor in the Guthrie Clinic for a number of years now. The staff are usually nice. The one that I found to be the most helpful is Zahra Khan. She is really efficient and continuously follows up with me. I have had difficulty reaching my doctor to get an appointment, and she was the one who helped me the most. She would send emails and make sure I eventually got an appointment, while some other staff just told me there was nothing they can do!
If they had 0 stars I would give it to them. They sent me a message for an appointment for a scan. I called them twice to confirm that the appointment is going ahead and both times they told me to come in. I went to the hospital after taking time off from work and they told me there is not an appointment booked for me and I have to come back in a month. They didn't apologise either. They were blaming other departments. Please stay away from them if you have private insurance and try to find a more reliable hospital
