For one appointment, I was emailed 3 times for a confirmation (even though it was promptly confirmed after the first email), was left a vm requesting callback with confirmation, and was left a text requesting confirmation. All within a few days of each other, and after the third email I asked them to stop. After the text, I called and said I found the process hounding and I canceled the appointment. On May 1, after being quite ill over the weekend, I tested positive for COVID. I called Gupta's office and asked what I should do. I was told I should not come to his office; I would not be treated. I asked if this should be reported to health authorities. I was told 'no.' I was given standard cold/flu advice and to go to a walk-in clinic if I felt worse. Brilliant diagnostician, he advised me on my rotator cuff injury in critical timing so I didn’t need injections or surgery. I have had him as my MD for over a decade. He has always been spot on and gone the distance. He is very professional and humane and his staff are super helpful. Would recommend him any day.
This fellow is not a very good doctor. Not only does he apparently record nothing of medical significance in his notes, he always wants to talk politics. Now, I of course respect his right to think and say what he wants, but it's improper to bring it up in the context of a medical treatment. On my most recent (and final) encounter, he seemed annoyed when I didn't want to discuss politics and was thereafter rude. Excellent! A compassionate, flexible doctor who takes his time to understand your needs. His staff is also excellent and efficient. I and my wife have been his patients for over ten years, and we will keep him!
There aren't many providers left like doctor Gupta. He takes the time necessary with you, and he is a great diagnostician. His office is small yet efficient, and you never have to wait long. This is old fashion medicine at it's best, and it's hard to find. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Doctor and staff do not communicate. Doctor says one thing and then staff says another thing so you end up wasting a lot of time. They treat older patients as if we are all deaf and forgetful.
