My mother is an 84year old lung cancer patient who has not been able to see a GP, was prescribed co-codomal over phone even though she has other symptoms like swollen legs and not eating. At 07:59 I start spam-dialing to try and get in the call queue. The queue is full by 08:01 with no appointments available that day according to the automated message you get...you don't even get to speak to a receptionist. My standing record is this happing 8 days in a row. The eConsult service was terminated so you cannot even book a consult online either. This health service may as well not even exist anymore so I have gone private now
Dr Owen saw me today and genuinely took the time to listen to me and advise me on my situation I understand the surgery is under pressure like many others but the care and consideration she gave me today restored my faith in doctors - what a brilliant doctor truly a credit to the surgery and I told her this after our appointment - thank you doctor Owen
I would like a repeat prescription for a medication that was prescribed by neurologist, thankfully I do not need to use it on a daily, weekly basis, it is for back up, but because I have not requested this since August 2022, the Dr will NOT give me a repeat prescription for it again, but I need it. Disgusting service, they do not understand.
I recently had a call with the surgery regarding my daughter (I’m her appointee) as GP had prescribed her drops although ENT had specifically specified NO DROPS to be put in her ears. I tried changing said prescription to something different to drops. They wanted me to go back to ENT (private) and get this stated in writing even though we had already shown them reports from ENT.
