Great feel, love the fire. Waitress was friendly!
Business response:
We’re so glad you enjoyed a “5-star” experience! Thanks for your visit!
Always a nice time. The acoustic music set by Mike was great. Indulged in the pumpkin martini. Fun bringing an unfamiliar guest there to enjoy.
Ah "The Gris" always a fun place. Not know for its food but a great place for drinks and to meet friends. This has been a local hangout for many years, since 1776 in fact. We went to see The Dizzy River Band, so much fun and dancing!!!!
First time at the inn. Food was good. The vegetables were a little undercooked or may have suppose to be that way, other than that the fish was great and a big portion. The only problem I had was sitting too close to a party of 3 that talked loud the whole time basically about politics I wish we had asked to be moved 😥Would go back again tho 😊
The Food Was Delicious! I would recommend The Griswold Inn to anyone and the quaint shops were fun to explore.
Business response:

The food was delicious and good atmosphere in the side library room.
Sat outside with some apps and beers...relaxing and some great people watching....bride and bridesmaids galore. We loved every second. Quintessential new england town setting...great food, service, anx atmosphere

Thanks, Ellen, for sharing this sweet picture! These perennials in our patio boxes got SO MANY COMMENTS this year! We just donated them to the Essex Garden Club to sell at their May Market fundraiser. We are delighted you enjoyed the day with us and thank you for your patronage! We hope you will come back to Experience Essex and The Gris in another season. December is ever so festive here! :)
Love the Gris!! Been going since 1973 and will continue til death do us part 😉
Business response:
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Kathy!
I had the Gis Black & Tan ale, then clam chowder which IMO was a bit potato heavy but otherwise quite testy, and finally the Seared Swordfish, which was the best swordfish I have ever consumed, all for $50 including a 15% gratuity.
Business response:
Thanks for visiting!
