One star for the location. Another star for the decent food. Last star for the entertainment while you wait the 1.5 hours! Don’t go during spring break. It’s was overcrowded and little to no seating. Not stroller or walker friendly.
This place was recommended to me as me and my wife are down here for our anniversary......... Now i have been to san antonio but i never knew about the gruene area but let me tell you i wish i had known about it a long time ago! Amazing place to be around the most beautiful scenery and of course the gristmill man oh man this place was the most awesome place me and my wife have been too, very beautiful, romantic, affordable, and the most delicious food we have eaten anywhere! You would think the wait would be worth it but the food is shit! We ordered 6 different meals, all of them were cold and horrible!!!! Please save your time and your money! I would give it no stars if the option was available!

The atmosphere of the Gristmill River Restaurant is outstanding. We had such a relaxing lunch. Our food was delicious, Springtime was in bloom., the Guadalupe was flowing quietly, the service was good and we enjoyed every minute. We try to come here once a year for lunch and this day was great!
This is a great place to eat, with good food and great staff and awesome atmosphere. My adult son & I enjoyed our dinner and some quality time.
