Best food and staff around!! Not to mention the amazing views inside and out. My favorite place ever!!

It’s going to be really tough for someone to say something bad about this beautiful restaurant. Yes, it’s popular with locals and tourists alike, yes, it’s going to busy and your wait may be longer - but nothing takes away from the experience you will have. The wait is more fun when sipping a cool drink from the outside bar and there is plenty of outdoor seating. I love Gruene and every time we visit, it's become a must to eat at The Gristmill River Restaurant. I love the ambiance and the food is delicious. The staff is very friendly. However, you do have to wait a while to be seated, but it's worth the wait. I recommend the fried catfish and their chicken fried chicken.
Our lunch at the Gristmill was wonderful! We were seated on the patio & the weather was great! Food was excellent!! Chips & qeso were the best!! Love this place!!
