Wow!! What a gem!! All of Gruene was such a surprise!! Gristmill River Restaurant was suggested to us by a dear friend from where we live in Springfield, MO. We are so happy we took his advice & checked it out. Absolutely wonderful place, great staff & we loved the sweet kitties.
Wait was long, no big deal but.... After waiting almost an hour for a table the food was poor. Server was great, food came out in a good time just wasn't worth the price at all.. my $30 t - bone steak was very thin and over done. Steamed veggies was just sliced squash with some tomatoes? and cheese? That's a 1st for me on steamed veggies. They were also drowned in butter, nasty. Had a wonderful dinner and dining experience because of our awesome server, Lindsey. She was spot-on tending to all our needs and very personable! She just needs to practice pronouncing ACAPULCO...lol. Great evening!
