My wonderful girlfriend who used to work for y'all took me here for my birthday and I had a wonderful time! While walking to our seat a hostess told our hostess's that they had already sat someone in our seat but it ended up being a blessing in disguise! Our new seat (79) Had a wonderful view, was secluded enough from everyone, and i even made friends with a squirrel (whose name is now Chip)! Atmosphere spectacular with a laid back feel. I had the grilled catfish with lime butter and grilled asparagus.... Beer nice and cold. A pass on onion rings, just a little to heavy for my liking. Waitstaff 5 Stars.

I enjoyed my first lunch at the historic Gristmill restaurant on March 8. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak with a side of beans and I was wowed beyond words. The steak was Texas sized, perfectly cooked so it was crispy and tender...very mouth pleasing! I'm kinda a bean expert (self appointed) ...they were to die for. I begged for the recipe but they didn't budge. So now I will have to go back again, and again and again. I'll see you for sure on my 2017 Spring trip to Texas.
