I love a good ribeye. I stopped in with my family and ordered a medium rare ribeye. 35 minutes later when I got it, the top and bottom were almost burned and it was cooked just above medium. So I ate the dried piece of meat just because I was hungry. So a word of warning that if you enjoy a good cut of ribeye, do not get it from here. Very very bad.

Perfect atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and the food is delicious, too! I do not believe one should go to San Marcos, New Brunsfel, or anywhere close without eating at Gristmill River Restaurant every trip. Sometimes twice in one trip.
I have eaten there twice and food was not good. First time chicken fried steak wasn't cooked done. The steak still had raw breading on it. The chicken salad was just huge chunks of chicken and very few ingredients....no flavor. I have to cut it up to eat it! Not impressedfor this level of a restaurant.
Loved the uniqueness of this place,it was a very enjoyable atmosphere and the staff were all friendly, prices were great and the food was great!
Great atmosphere and the service was excellent. Loved the food. Very reasonable pricing for a Texas sized plate of food. Highly recommend.
This was a great end to our weekend trip! Sister Shelly and David sowed us a great time!
