Had to be seated outside. We had a party of 12 for birthday celebration. We were seated at a large table but there was a sewage smell and we were not the only table to complain. It is a tourist attraction...we we're not tourist...just locals looking for a place to visit with family and have good food and service.
We get there and get seated right away. It was my parents first trip to gristmill. Our food comes and there is a hair on my dads food. The waiter told us he was sorry and just took his plate and brought him another like it was not a big deal. We didn't even have a manager come to our table to apologize. Not sure how I feel about this place now!

The wait was two hours for a party of 7 on a Saturday night. We finally got to our table only to be served mediocre chicken fried steak and one of my friends had COLD chicken fried chicken. It seemed a long wait for only mediocre food. It's is a beautiful place to visit tho!!
The view is nice.. However; the wait was way too long.. And it took almost an hour to get our food.. My husband's catfish was good.. My steak was tender, but could have been seasoned better.. I think the food is way too pricey for a restaurant with no A/C.
I understand the long wait to get in but over an hour wait for our food. Half the people at the table werent pleased with their meal. I would go back but not when im extremely hungry and dont want to wait. The restaurant itself was really neat , great staff, outside area was entertaining.
The food tasted great. The service though was one of the worst I have ever had. We waited over an hour to be seated. Granted it was busy due to the concert next door. But once we were finally taken to our table we were placed off in a corner where there was very little light. We literally had to use the lights on our phones to read the menu it was so dark.
