Great atmosphere, it's located right on the river and in a really neat town. Would definitely eat there again. The food was great and the wait staff treated us well. The wait time to get in on a Friday night only took us about 5 minutes. We did arive before the major rush. I would suggest arriving before 6.
Lovely place, great food and service. As a swede it's so nice to be able to sit outside in the heat.
Read where the Gristmill had "the best chicken fried steak in Texas." BULLSHIT! Had 3 bites and pushed it away... The steak was bland, the coating was like elmers paste, and the gravy, except for the black pepper, had no taste at all. Dahlia's in Liberty Hill was the best CFS on this trip. Having been born and raised in Texas, this was a total disappointment!
We were told 25 minutes. We waited an hour. Once we were seated and hot with no air. We recieved our food. But i was overheated and couldn't finish my food.

I was not ready for the humidity. However, the food was above average. Not the best CFS, but it was good. No salad offering(only 1 side comes with meal) for the price puts this in the $$$ for me. Let me emphasize, I did not hate it, but I'm happy I got to experience it. I'll come back.
1st time and it was really nice. Loved the idea of the chalkboard to let us know our table was ready. We waited about 15 minutes outside and it was nice. The food was delicious and only took 15 minutes from time of ordering. The waitress, Ally was great. Very attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back during the fall and winter to experience the weather.
Food is 5 star. Got lucky and didn't wait long to eat. Wanted to strangle the wait staff.
