Greg & Lou’s Family Restaurant was established in 1983 by Louis and Rachel Kanan (mom and dad) and their son Greg and his wife Debbie. Bought as a Mini Mart with groceries and a small eatery it gradually became a full dine in restaurant as it is today. In 1996 Louis and Rachel retired and Greg has continued the tradition of good home cooked food and a family atmosphere. My family goes there frequently and normally have a 5 star review last night 3-13-18 was by far the worst experiences ever for us from the service to the food we where very disappointed now with that off my chest I sure hope next time it is back to what we have grown to love!!!
This used to be one of our favorite places to go here in town but more recently things have not been as good as before mainly because of the size of the portions becoming so much smaller. Ordered a side of deep fried mushrooms the other day with our fish dinners for a takeout, there were only seven mushrooms in the order. We understand that costs of foods increase but I would rather price went up a bit than to have the portion size reduced. Just had the finest Chicken Stir Fry ever, in Owosso. Nice blend of sweet and heat. Had the cook add two eggs to it and well, it rocked! Definently a home run in my park. First time I've ordered anything other than breakfast in quite awhile and will be back to try other lunch and dinner fare. Thank you to the cook fo r a great lunch!
Worst excuse for a chicken quesadilla I've ever seen!!! Waitress acted like she was on speed, couldn't slow down and act like you were deserving of her time.... didn't offer drink refills, waitress did offer to get me something else when everyone else was almost done eating... Because she didn't come back ensure everything was ok in a timely manner. Didn't like the city tasting water so asked for iced tea, you'd think I was speaking a foreign language. Definitely will NOT be going back!!
I have never had a bad meal from Greg and Lou’s. There rib eye are excellent , chicken and fish great. Staff are friendly and courteous.
This place rocks!!!!!!The staff and food is amazing.
