Greg & Lou’s Family Restaurant was established in 1983 by Louis and Rachel Kanan (mom and dad) and their son Greg and his wife Debbie. Bought as a Mini Mart with groceries and a small eatery it gradually became a full dine in restaurant as it is today. In 1996 Louis and Rachel retired and Greg has continued the tradition of good home cooked food and a family atmosphere. My husband and I went with another couple for fish.We had walleye and cod. Both were very good.We were sat in big booth by the bathroom which was a mistake because we watched many men stand at the urinal and the smell wasn't nice.The food and waitress were good though.

We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years. The food is always good and we always have excellent service. Last night the place was packed but they were well staffed and our waitress, Stephanie, was so much fun. She joked with us and had us laughing all the time. My husband's birthday is this month and when it came up I asked if they sang to their customers on their birthdays. We had the shrimp and walleye. Both were greasy. We're given cold dinner rolls. Ask our waitress if she could heat them and she said in a really snotty tone that they give them to you free and that it was busy and she didn't have time to do those extra things. She was a really bad waitress. She never brought us our food and only checked on us1 time. Then she came to deliver the bill. I work at City suites right near Greg and Lous, I order out alot during the week . they have great food and deserts. I also know the owners and they are awesome people. ❤❤
