Greg & Lou’s Family Restaurant was established in 1983 by Louis and Rachel Kanan (mom and dad) and their son Greg and his wife Debbie. Bought as a Mini Mart with groceries and a small eatery it gradually became a full dine in restaurant as it is today. In 1996 Louis and Rachel retired and Greg has continued the tradition of good home cooked food and a family atmosphere. I live in Lansing and with all the fine dining we have here I prefer the drive to Owosso. Been eating there for years and never disappointed. Great atmosphere, great wait staff, and great food. Highly recommended.

I was thinking as I was having breakfast at your restaurant yesterday, your restaurant is the most efficient one I've been in. The person that cleared the tables was never idle. He was on top of things constantly. The waitresses were right on the ball. I liked the way the gal that waited on us, repeated what our order was as she sat our plates down. Every detail, what a great staff. Absolutely, everyone was doing their jobs perfectly. We have been coming here for years.
Great diner! Excellent breakfast and a nice variety on the menu. Baked goods are to die for!!!
Always good food at Greg and Lous!!!! I really love the staff they are all hardworking and friendly. The best food in town!
Food and service were better by the male waiters and the manager in charge. Been hit or miss with the waitresses. Seems like lately the waiters have been better. Never had an empty cup of coffee. Service is hit or miss since Greg left. If it wasn't for the excellent service of the waiters I would not come back. Maybe the waitresses should smile once in a while and not bite the hand that feeds them.
