I recently moved to Tring Close and was unaware that the rear of a mental health support facility backs onto our property. While I completely understand and support the importance of providing mental health services in the community, the current state of behaviour and lack of supervision at this particular facility is deeply concerning and unacceptable. Since the facility opened local residents are suffering from loud music blasting through the windows during unsocial hours. Residents smoking illegal substances on the pavement in front of facility during the school run with the school children passing by. Police and ambulances are coming every second day to deal with emergencies. Recently one of the residents was handcuffed in front of facility and taken by police in the broad day light. I know the support that SLS {Supported Living Service}, gives to those who suffer with mental health / learning disabilities in the community to be a dedicated team who will give full support to those who are in need of this type of accommodation. They provide such an important service to those living with these life changing conditions, and are at times the only living service providers, that are there to help people live a full rewarding life.
