worse bank that could ever be in business. we bought a truck, provided insurance verification, signed direct deposit, and now here we are with Late fees because this bank can't keep their paperwork together. they charged us 7,000 to fix insurance and only refunded it back after we supplied countless copies of our Insurance. the ladies on the phone in the asset department, lisa especially, has POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, can provide some really unprofessional emails, and tells us " well I can't do anything about that". Over the weekend, someone fraudulently used my debit card in Philadelphia. I had a phone call from Shazam as well as the fraud department from GICU. Stopped in at my local branch this morning and by 4 o’clock this afternoon, my money has been returned. Great customer service! Thanks so much!
Great Service and Products!
I've had great experiences here. Lots of benefits, better interest rates and friendly people. Wish my Greater Checking didn't require so many debit transactions, to get the higher interest rate, but for 3%, I'll take it.
Very poor experience with the Greater Iowa Credit Union. They offered me financing on a new pick up which we purchased and then charged over $3000 for insurance for 30 days when they forgot to file my insurance card information. Very rude customer service actually told me they recommend that I get service somewhere else and re-finance as they did not like my insurance company. Still have not gotten my refund to this day three months later. And have financed a new truck with a new bank with zero issues.
We have been members since 1988 and love their service whether at the window or drive up. I remember when I had to spend almost a year down in Texas; I could always call GICU and know that they would help me. In the past we have had both personal and vehicle loans and if any problems, a phone call was all it took. The one thing I do miss is the front information desk. Was sorry to see that change.
