Had my first auto loan through Greater Iowa Credit Union (Eastside Branch) many years ago and it was an all around great experience! They even worked with me when I had a few late payments.
RecommendedRecently switched all of my personal banking and loan accounts to GICU in Indianola and I could not be happier!!! The customer service and detailed care that Mack Rankin took while working with me was above and beyond! Thank you GICU and Mack! I am a very happy customer!

For loans they are a joke. Idk what loan officer “helped” me today in the Clive office but that’s exactly what she didn’t do is help me. She didn’t want to help me at all. I told her exactly what i was coming in for and she didn’t want to get any of my information from me to help me out. Greater Iowa probably should look into hiring loan officers who want to do their job. Advice to lady, be more empathetic to people who are coming in to try to better their situation don’t be a dick
we been to other banks in town, We went to check out the Greater Iowa Credit Union, there rates and people working are the best.
opened accounts at indianola location. Alyssa was great setting up but was never told you cant deposit CASH through the atm to checking. charges to close, to open and monthly. i work during all their business hours so i was required to get off early to close account. i went to close my account one teller was busy the- other was on a personal call for over 20 min then cried in bathroom for 10 while the line pulled up. Very disappointed in this business . complete waste of my time and hard earned cash.
update to my post from February. The loan department is now trying to say that my car insurance lapsed when in fact I have had the same insurance since before getting this loan!
They advertise low auto loan rates on their website, then after you apply they tell you those rates aren’t right. Bait and switch.
