The staff at Grange Lea are amazing. My mum was a resident for only a few months before she passed away, but my family and I knew she was happy there. She was well cared for and safe. Grange lea feels like a family, the staff really do love their residents. They get to know the characters and cater for their needs. There isn't anything that is too much trouble. My wife had need of care after discharge from hospital. She had a stroke some months before and had returned to hospital.During this stay she had no physio causing her to be weak and unable to complete tasks she was doing well. Grange-Lea organised reablement that social services had said wouldn't happen because she was a lost cause.Because of the physio and good care arranged at Grange-Lea my wife is now home and still has prospects of further improvement. Had the pleasure of working at Grange Lea for just under a year. Can only say what a wonderful place to work. I found the manager to be highly knowledgeable of her role, above and beyond supportive of her team and the residents. The staff team were all friendly and supportive of each other and the residents well cared for, with activities and day to day engagements the best I've seen in any care home. I unfortunately had to leave due to family commitments but would certainly welcome the opportunity to work at this care home ... read more

I had shocking experience working only 3 nights here. They are understaffed at night shift. For 30 something residents it is only 2 staff,which are administering meds from original packages, not a blister packs, unswering calls, what is no stop and a lot of them double ups., cleaning, kitchen prep, after 5am it is a nightmare even staff who works many years saying tasks are impossible to complete.
