Texas is the second-largest state in the United States. It covers more than 268,600 square miles. Texas Governor Abbott is a lawyer so he understands laws and what makes Texas the safest and most free in the nation. They make Oregon, California, New Mexico for those who like more government control. Here, in Texas, we leave the control in the hands of Governor Abbott, who knows that laws create freedom when everyone abides.

Governor, you have it in your authority to call a special session. Fix school funding before you even think about this voucher system! I hope this state keeps moving against you and ultimately takes you out of office in 2018. You care nothing of the people here and are only causing more hate and widening the gap between the people, instead of uniting us. You are not a leader.

Please call a special session because the legislature was unable to resolve the ASATR during the regular session. This is an important issue regarding school finance. Please call a special session!!!

I am a VERY concerned parent of students at a school district in danger of losing a significant part of our operating budget due to inaction on ASATR. The promise to "hold harmless" several years ago is now in danger of becoming "abandonment in harm's way" thanks to a legislature that has put more efforts into bathroom bills than our children's education. My children attend district that has been historically a high-performing district where residents pay very high property taxes that are also supporting several other school... read more

Wish I could post 0 stars! Gov. Abbott, you need to start listening to all Texans and begin governing for the needs of the people - not your party.
