How about HB-1622 Camo Alert? Texas had 2 VAs that the current director said were 1 star and you ignore a bill to establish an alert system to help veterans at risk of suicide? I guess we can serve the state proudly, but don't come home right? That's what you have said by ignoring HB-1622
PLEASE call a special session to grant money to school districts affected by ASATR! Our school district will lose $6million and other school districts will have to shut their doors. Texas school children need this funding!

You signed a bill (SB2190) stripping Houston Firefighters of earned pension benefits. And you did this on the anniversary of the greatest LOSS OF LIFE IN HOUSTON FIRE DEPT HISTORY. 5 died on May 31 protecting Texas citizens. I guess in your hands the greatest loss of benefits should come on the same day. 85th legislative session has not been about the people. WE NEVER FORGET OUR FALLEN!! As a Realtor I am finding more and more people being taxed out of their homes! The Homestead exemption has a cap of 10% and this is so far over inflation peoples incomes do not keep up with the increase of Property taxes. Some states have a safety net that property tax with a Homestead will increase 5% or Inflation which ever is Less. Michigan had the same issues were people were losing their homes to taxes after 20 years of living there.
