About this business

Texas borders Mexico along the Rio Grande and embraces mountain ranges and canyons to the west; lakes, plantations and pine forests to the east; plains to the north; citrus groves, Gulf of Mexico beaches and low-lying alluvial plains to the south; and rolling hill country and cl... read more

You are doing a great job following in the footsteps of your idol Trump. Hopefully you will be looking for a new job in 18 or so months.

TOTALLY SHAMEFUL!!! This is to the Texas legislators and Governor Abbott. I WISH each and every one of you would stop and think about our current Texas teachers and those of us who spent many years on the classroom before retiring. How can you think so little of us?! Most Texas teachers cannot receive Social Security benefits. Not even spousal benefits when a spouse dies. Our pension is all we have. A teacher in Texas who starts working at the age of 22 for state base pay ($2...Continue Reading

Completely disgusted with your bill on adoption. There are hundreds of thousands of same-sex, atheist, Jewish, and Islamic couples who would make amazing parents. Your job is to speak for Texans, and you have failed this state.

The fact that a disabled human is ok with taking away others rights is sickening. This administration has been detrimental for Texas since the beginning. I can't wait until November 6th 2018 so we can vote you out.

What is going on with some of Texas's law enforcement agencies? There are multiple media reports of officers over-stepping their authority and harming the citizenry (e.g., El Paso FBI agent Byers reportedly assaulting a man for filming on a public sidewalk - the citizen was doing nothing wrong), or using excessive force. One very sad situation involved the death of Graham Dyers after being repeatedly tased, including in his genitals, seen on video with the Mesquite PD. This young man had reportedly taken a street drug and wa... read more

We need legislation to end forced participation in electrical cooperatives. Give Texas Citizens choice of electrical providers.

I voted for you and really thought that you would be a step up from our previous governor. I am ashamed to say I voted for you - I am a teacher and your office has done everything it can to destroy our profession. My parents are/were educators, too. My mother is able to retire according to the rules, but is unable to retire because she and dad wouldn't be able to keep afloat with the expense of retired teacher insurance and the ridiculous pay reduction she will face upon retirement. Wake up and start fixing public school pro... read more

I voted for you and consider myself a strong Republican, but I cannot vote for someone who chooses to not take care of teachers. I have taught for 25 years and would love to teach longer, but the recent changes in the TRS system will cause me to retire early an go to work in the industry in order to be able to provide insurance for my wife. After reading about the pensions of the Texas Legislatures maybe I should run for office. After only 12 years of service and having worked half the days I have your pension will be 2-3 ti... read more
