I had a lovely experience when I went to visit a family friend at Good Shepherd hospice house, the nurses were kind and compassionate. They genuinely cared and made the family feel at ease. It was as if, we had angels guiding us through the whole process. I’m grateful for their empathy and professionalism.

See my review below. My friends family went through a horrible experience and I am surprised other Hospice RNs did not intervene in that situation! There is no excuse from any staff being Hostile!!

My sister was a recent patient here . The majority of the staff were very good. Unfortunately two nurses made our hospice experience a hellish one. We kept our mouth shut so my sister was able to die peacefully and in comfort. We would have changed hospice agencies but it was too late. My sister probably would not have survived a transfer home. The complaints were filed this week with the agency, state and Medicare. Had I not had past good experiences with hospice, I would never consider it again for a loved one just because... read more

False promises made about care the patient will receive prior to signing up. After check in and during admission assessment, the family member was told the equipment the family was told would be available to make the patient’s breathing easier, was not available and if they didn’t like it they could take the patient out of the facility. Hours after admission, the family member happened to notice that patient was receiving very little oxygen, as it was turned down to just about zero on the flow meter. EUTHANASIA!

As the parent of a pediatric patient I can tell you that in the beginning of our hospice journey with 2 of my terminally ill children we had the absolute best care. Now in the past year the care and services provided to now my 1 terminally ill child as we lost our Daughter 12/26/17 the care and services are slowly dwindling. It’s as if they have completely given up on the pediatric hospice patients. We continue with company only because it’s what’s available and needed and because of the nurses and social workers but when it... read more

As a caregiver to my Father this facility was not a good fit for us. The nurses, CNA's, and support staff were amazing and they really CARE. Unfortunately I can NOT say the same for their Nurse Practitioners. Not only was I talked down upon on the first day being told " Well he can't live here", today I was told " You don't make the rules." I did report it and found out that the Nurse Practitioners are contracted out. I would like to thank the supervisors and the rest of the staff for showing compassion, love, and understand... read more

My dad was in hospice there from 12-4 until he passed today. The care was phenomenal. I couldn't have picked a better place. The compassion for the patients and families were awesome. If anyone ever needs a hospice house I will highly recommend this place. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart for the compassion they showed towards my dad. Thank you and I love you all I give a 5 star rating . If I could I would give them 10 stars
