Still good! – I agree with some of the other reviews to a certain point. However, the food is consistantly very good! The staff... NOT friendly, I agree. Also, went a few nites ago and had to wear a HEAVY coat through dinner. I still enjoy the lively late nite crowd!
Nice place for lunch – Nice pizzas. Good place for lunch, but can get really noisy and crowded.
thank goodness for globe! – i love finding a place that serves after midnight. especially one that serves such yummy dishes! the service can use a little help, as it takes alot to get a replenished drink or a dessert order. the ambience is warm and welcoming and there's a full bar! always a plus. globe is a wonderful place to take a date after seeing some theater or a movie. will recomend to my friends.
FABULOUS CHICKEN!! – Every single dish we ordered was wonderful. We also got the opportunity to experience different tomatoes with great sauce directly from the chef! We ordered scallops and tuna tartare for apps. Rotisserie chicken with fig sauce is a MUST!! Salmon was the least favorite of the dishes. The food is VERY reasonably priced. The drinks are a bit expensive, but are a good size. Small place, reservations a must. You may have to wait even with them.
A trendy gem. – Wonderfull food, with an energetic and trendy ambiance. Open very late - go the later the better. My only complaint is that it gets VERY noisy when it's crowded. Intimate conversations are nearly impossible. (But the food always makes up for it)
Trot On Over to the Globe – This restaurant is still very trendy as judged by the see and be seen crowd that I encountered there on a Friday Night. The service and food were very good. The ambience was, for the most part, interesting and the crowd was young and fun. The only drawback was that the tables were a little close to each other. I bumped or jostled a few fellow patrons during the evening. Overall, it is a fun place with very good food.
I'd Go There Even if it Wasn't Late – The Globe is fantastic. After a hard nights work my wife and I were looking for a place to eat at around 12am. The hotel recommended the Globe and they were right on the money. This place had great food, great service, and a very nice atmosphere. The staff always made sure we were taken care. My wife and I both loved our meals, as well as desert. Would definately recommend!!!
Another Great Meal... – I hadn't been back to Globe for about a year and was relieved to find the food and the service had remained consistantly high! Cozy room, great service, excellent food!
SF needs more late night restaurants... – like Globe. Reservations at midnight. Seated promptly. Great hearts of romaine salad. Absolutely amazing lamb chops (three double chops!) with potatoes and artichoke hearts. Great mac & cheese! Nice, intimate room. Fun crowd. My new late night favorite. Would like to see more wines by the glass because I'm not always up for a whole bottle that late...
