Emily is INCREDIBLE – I have been following Emily for over a year and have never been more satisfied with my hair color and cut. She is magic. MICHAEL is number one – I came into the shop from a package that I purchased.I went on line line to read the reviews reguarding this salon, I was very impressed with the reviews that I read . The reviews I read reguarding your hairstylist Michael were very impressive so I decided to make an appointment with him. Shout Out to Emily – I have to say, I was skeptical of this whole package situation from the moment I signed up for it and was hesitant to even follow through with it because my hair is VERY important to me. I had to wait for quite some time but I was ok with that because Emily seemed very detailed and attentive with her previous client. The size of the salon didn't really bother me. Michael does GREAT highlights! – I went for the Alternative Advertising package, which I was super skeptical about. (Note to the PR agency - all the men you employ really creep me out, however, I was approached by a really friendly & professional young woman, Jillian I think, and that's what finally made me feel comfortable enough to buy in...) I look 10 years younger!!!! – I have to say that I got the BEST haircut ever! Thank you Michael. My hair looks like it is from vogue. I never thought my hair could ever look like this. I have very curly frizzy brittle hair and when I walked out of the salon, I felt like a super model. Michael you are the best!!!! I wish I needed a haircut everyday just to hang out there with you. The most adorable sweetest guy too. Everyone out there Go see Michael right away, because soon his waiting list will be forever.

Get a better experience SOMEWHERE ELSE – I wasn't expecting such a small place- very tiny salon, limited waiting area, stylist and shampoo stations. Anyways, I went to check in for my appointment that I booked 3 weeks prior in order to have an appointment with Gio herself. But when I arrived for my appointment, I was told that Gio "doesn't really focus on people who buy the package (see below)" so, my appointment was pushed aside to another stylist, then another one... Wow !!! I am so glad I gave Gio Studio Salon a try.. – I was walking on 21st street and 7th ave. when I passed bye Gio Studio Salon from the way it looked from outside I could tell the place was going to be great . I was right,from the minute I walked in i was welcomed by the receptionist,the assistants and my hairstylist .Wow the best salon experience I have ever had very personalized . Gio was great !! I was complemented on my cut and color so many times .. Won't go anywhere else I'm hooked.

I won't be going back – I got sold the offer on the street which seemed like a good deal. I got to the salon and had to wait for my hairdresser who was late, not a big deal but not a great start. I explained that I didn't want to go blonde and wanted my own hair colour mixed with a lighter honey colour, he didn't listen and my hair went too blonde. You only get 12 foils so the back of my hair was brown and the front blonde, it didn't look blended at all, I was really disappointed. I said at the time I was unhappy but I basic... read more
