It feels like a typical hole in the wall chowder house. The atmosphere is casual, friendly and warm. The service was prompt and the fact that the employees also eat there was a great sign. The food did not disappoint at all. I had the fried haddock special with fries and the best clam chowder I've ever had. It was thick, warm and savory. The haddock was fresh and flaky. I like more seasoning on my food so I found it a bit bland but some lemon and tartar sauce and it was good to go. The food was so filling I couldn't eat dinn... read more

Great place with a good atmosphere. My wife and I had a lobster dinner and it was fresh and delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and made our experience great.

I had dinner with my family at the Windham Gilbert location. This location is not a family oriented restaurant! We eat outside which was nice. Are waitress was the bartender. Service was slow! Are waitress was focused on the bar serving a lot of bikers. The food was ok nothing to right home about. As my family finished dinner we paid are bill and started to walk out though the door when another biker group with black leather vests with no manners walked right by my family liked they own the place as I held my kids to the sid... read more

I ordered twin lobsters and clam chowder. Lobsters are very fresh and the chowder was delicious. The staffs are also very friendly. I will definitely return there whenever I'm in the area.

My husband and I stopped in for a light meal. I had a small seafood chowda and he had the medium. They were both stuffed full of big chunks of fresh lobster, shrimps, clams fish, potatoes. Delicious. I'm not a big chowder fan, but this made me happy and hubby ecstatic.

Nothing to write home about. The chowda had barely any clams, the scallops were just ok. Disappointed. And for being where it is in Maine, it should have amazing clam chowder!!!
