Squirrels had chewed through the eaves on one corner of our house. After contacting our local roofer who refused to do the job, we contacted G.F. Sprague. Matt came out, surveyed the job, explained what needed to be done, and gave us an estimate. We then received a call telling us when the carpenter would be coming. We’ve been working with Sprague to maintain our slate roof for almost 15 years. Bob came out today and gave me the honest assessment that nothing needs to be done. I appreciate the honesty and the good maintenance over the years.

Recent work on our home to replace two roof portions and close a hole opened by critters. We were pleased with the work performed by Paul and Ralph. General manager was involved and was responsive to our questions during the project. Completed on time and we would use them again.

I was very pleased by the new roof and gutters installed by G.F. Sprague and very impressed by the comprehensive assessment completed by Tim, the overseeing of the project by Bob, and the excellent installation work done by Manny and his crew. The work was completed on time (actually ahead of schedule). Tim and Justin carefully and patiently explained their recommendations. We have used GF Sprague several times over the past for roof-related repair work. Bob does a good job of assessing what’s going on and what’s needed for a lasting repair. Most recently, they replaced half of our roof. They always come when they say they will and do excellent work.

Estimate was super thorough, work was on time, done well and any concerns during the work was completed to our satisfaction. Only suggestion would be to break out cost estimate vs. just give us one cost. Would also suggest the rail fence be offered in more than white in case we wanted to make railing color match our trim.

G.F. Sprague replaced my roof on my house about 7 years ago. They did an excellent job. Last winter I had an issue with ice dams. Therefore I reached out to schedule a meeting to obtain their recommendation. They scheduled an appointment and Bob came out and provided advice. Reliable service. I highly recommend.
