bad. very poor communication skills. unorganized in the office. long wait times. vague in explaining the diagnosis.
Saw Dr. Germin for 3-4 years. He is rude and condesending but seems to be pretty knowledgable. I never did form any kind of relationship with him. His staff is horrible - the worst. When he would order something STAT, five days later, they hadn't called it in. He had an assistant do his work and she made things up as she went along; I don't even think she was a nurse. On my 1st visit, he spent less than 8 minutes with me & did not do a full neurological exam. Clearly I have MS type symptoms and he even said I looked like I had it. 2 days after my 1st appt, there was a patient mixup whereby I was sent glass syringes to my home and called by a nurse to see when she could help me with my "injections". After I called Germin's staff, I was called back by a nurse to apologize but prior to that, I was spoken to rudely by an office staff member. I was very unsatisfied for when I went to long without coming in for a check-up , They told me dr. leo would not be able to see me based on the amount of times I saw him.
The staff is unresponsive to requests. I called 3 times for my records and they never returned my calls. Wait times are too long!
I can not emphasize enough how upset and disappointed I am in this man. My primary physician referred me, strictly as a precautionary measure, a year ago after I passed out from dehydration. Even if you are perfectly healthy, he will suspend your drivers license and order 8 different totally unnecessary test for you. I’m a tri athlete and have no medical conditions whatsoever. Saw physican's assistant for 10 minutes and the doctor for 2. Had to wait a month for appointment and then another month for 2nd appointment. He was out of town and only saw physican's assistant 2nd time. She was nice, but where is the doctor? He has a strong accent and is difficult to understand. My next appointment is in 2 months - I'm not happy with this office and am looking for another doctor.
Without question, Dr. Germin is the rudest doctor I have ever met. His comments to me and about others were shocking. In my opinion, he does not pay much attention to your problems and is accusatory of others. He appears psychologically unstable to me and of little help. Find another neurologist.
